MATCH BOOKINGS

The venues listed below are available for match bookings. Peg fee for all venues is £6 per angler with a minimum of 10 anglers competing (minimum charge £60 per match).

‘Match bookings can be made from the 1st September to 31st March prior to the start of each season. By the beginning of June, the finalised fixture list is downloaded onto the website.’

Matches not showing on the fixture list or without the written authorisation of the Fisheries Administrator must not be fished.

MATCH RULES

• Match organisers must post a notice at least 24 hours in advance at all access points to the fishery giving warning that the match is to take place
• Some venues are protected by locked entry gates. Organisers are advised to contact the Fisheries Adminstrator prior to the match for the combination code.
• Clubs will need to peg out, weigh in, record and safely return their catches (please note that nails must not be used to fasten peg cards)
• The match organiser is responsible for taking down notices and to ensure peg cards and litter are removed after the match

RIVER VENUES:

DANIELS WELL MALMESBURY

Access and parking at both ends of the water.

Note: this water is best fished in the late autumn or winter from October to March as it can be weedy in the summer and peg numbers are reduced to about 15. Species: Roach, Chub, Perch, Carp and Tench.

LOWER CHRISTIAN MALFORD

Bankside car park next to Christian Malford Bridge. Species: Chub, Roach, Dace, Perch, Tench, Barbel, Gudgeon, odd big Bream.

LACOCK ABBEY FIELDS

Includes two fields below Lacock Bridge on the RH bank downstream.

Parking in the public car park at the rear of the Red Lion PH only. Note: the National Trust Car park on the bridge road does not open until 10.00am on Sunday mornings. Species Chub, Barbel, Dace, Roach, Perch, Bream, Gudgeon.

STILLWATER VENUES:

SABRE LAKE Nr Calne, Wilts

Large Car park at Quemerford Gate Farm 150m from lake. Draw pavilion and toilet on lake side, most swims have large comfortable platforms. Species: Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Crucians, Gudgeon.

PAWLETT PONDS Nr Highbridge, Somerset

Four lakes; approx 1-1.25 acres each, with adjacent large car park. Majority of swims have large comfortable platforms. Species: Rudd, Roach, Bream, Carp, Tench, Eels some Perch.

SHACKELLS LAKE LANSDOWN Nr Bath

Large car park area but 300m walk to lake across fields. All swims have platforms. Note: the lake is closed from 1st May to 15th June each Year. Species: Roach, Rudd, Bream, Carp, Tench.

TOCKENHAM RESERVOIR Nr Lynham, Wilts

Match bookings are restricted to the LH side of the reservoir and the dam wall. Species: Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Perch.

Note: Max 6 Matches per year allowed on this venue and are subject to board approval. Premium peg fee applicable.
